I have made these pictures for a children book illustration competition.
Every creature greets the peacefulness of the nightfall. When the sun goes down, most forest animals retire to rest. Only the curious dormouse still frolics with the glow-worms.
A solemn silence is diffused over the forest. Only the croaking of frogs comes from a lake nearby and a lonesome hedgehog strides proudly amidst the fallen leaves. The dormouse creeps slowly and quietly towards the light and parts the blades of grass.
Over a small clearing floats a real star. The dormouse sighs, filled with awe. The star is bigger than her, all purple and yellow, and has bright laughing eyes.
