The Pacific: the final frontier. These are the lives and hardships of American colonists beyond the last land frontier in the West. Their continuing aim: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new lands and treasures, to boldly go where no white man has gone before. Most of the surface of America has now been explored and the American nation now has turned to the colonization of the Pacific as their next objective.
As American expansion reaches the Pacific, American settlers come into conflict with Native Pacifics who are the indigenous people of the US continental shelf.
The images were made for the ArtStation Wild West Challenge. Unfortunately, I did not managed to finalize the submission.
The Drover. Riding their seahorses through the warm shallow waters of the American Pacific, he and his companions drove sea cows, or manatees, that the colonists brought here from Florida to graze them on the seagrass meadows of the continental shelf.
The Huntress. Armed with a wooden speargun she bought from colonists. A line connects the loaded spear to the front of the gun. She uses it to hunt and then drag the prey to herself after successfully landing a shot.
Native Pacifics are red-skinned aquatic creatures with the head and upper body of a human and the tail of a moray eel.
The Dancer - the nature whisperess. With an elaborately tattooed tail and tattooed make-up. She is a talented dancer with a remarkable gift for understanding animals' body language. Using her dance, she excels at calming hard-to-manage creatures.
